Our Alderman’s Green provision offers a nurturing and supportive environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of our children may also have additional learning, communication or cognition needs that can make accessing a traditional classroom difficult.

We understand that behaviour is a form of communication. Our relational and trauma-informed approach helps children feel safe, understood and ready to reconnect with learning. Through trusted relationships, predictable routines and personalised support, children are helped to recognise their emotions, develop regulation strategies and build positive relationships with others.

Learning is engaging, practical and carefully adapted to each child’s starting point. Children are given opportunities to experience success, rebuild their confidence and develop the skills they need to participate more fully in education.

At Alderman’s Green, we look beyond a child’s behaviour to understand the need beneath it. We provide a fresh start, a sense of belonging and the encouragement every child deserves.

Our goal is not simply to help children manage—we want them to feel proud of who they are and excited about what they can achieve.
